Why the name Chockstone?
A Chockstone refers to a large rock that has been wedged in a crack or crevice found in the mountains. It can serve as a natural anchor or support, providing stability and security to hikers or climbers.
Like the natural anchor point, Chockstone Behavioral Consulting is committed to providing stability and security to our clients by helping equip them with the skills most meaningful to them while gaining independence to concur their own metaphorical or physical mountains. ​​

Kassondra Gaylord - Founder
M.A., BCBA, LBA
My name is Kassondra Gaylord, and I have dedicated the past 8+ years to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). My journey began as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and for just over 3 years now I have proudly served as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). My commitment to ongoing education has led me to explore Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. I am deeply passionate about integrating these into my practice.
With a diverse range of experience working with individuals from children to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), trauma histories, and global developmental delays, I have developed a well-rounded approach to behavior analysis. Recently, I embarked on an exciting new chapter by founding my private practice, Chockstone Behavioral Consulting LLC. This venture allows me to focus on my passions for supervision and delivering high-quality ABA services to my community, with a strong emphasis on supporting clients and their families.
I cherish the opportunity to operate and grow a practice where I can increase access to ABA services in Vermont. My love for learning drives me to create opportunities for others to grow and thrive. Whether I’m supporting clients or mentoring fellow practitioners, I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those I serve.
